Suzdal

The first mention in the annals of Suzdal there in 1024 as an existing city. Like many cities in the history of that time, the story began with the construction of Suzdal in the river Kamenka Kremlin. By the middle of XI-th century, when Yuri Dolgorukov Suzdal became the capital of the Rostov-Suzdal principality, and a major trade and crafts center.

The welfare of the city was disrupted in the early XVII century. In 1611, Suzdal was subjected to semi-siege of the Polish-Lithuanian invaders. The city was almost completely destroyed and looted. Began to revive again soon Suzdal suffered from looting. In 1634, it suddenly came to the Crimean Tatars.
