Animal Care Highlights :
Animal Care Technician, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, CA (March–September 2005)

Provided routine animal husbandry for mice, rats, quail, barn owls, rabbits, and nonhuman primates based on established laboratory operating procedures. Regularly monitored numerous animal rooms, including supplies, cage and rack cleaning, technical duties, and room janitorial maintenance.
Assisted with pre- and post- operation surgical procedures.
Operated laminar flow hood workstations, autoclave unit, and ventilated racks.

September 2004 to Present:

Research Intern

Cooperatively managed, collected, and tabulated behavioral data for the 2004-2005 Los Angeles Zoo duiker diet management project.

Helped organize and proofread behavioral research raw data and spreadsheets to aid the Los Angeles Zoo with future elephant and orangutan care and management.
